I am somewhat trying to reproduce the view from evernote that shows the items within a selected folder in a below view. Here's an example if you're not familiar:
Clicking on hacking shows its contents

I've found ways of locking the current tab, opening in a new lister and so on from previous posts, but not this one. Would love to open in the "below" or "right" view manager either in a new tab or in a more dynamic way, or whichever 
By default:
In the folder tree, holding Ctrl and clicking a folder will open it in the other side of a dual-display window.
In the file display, double-clicking a folder with the middle mouse button, or holding Ctrl and double-clicking with the left button, will open it in the other side of a dual-display window.
Both can be edited, if you want.
You can also set up buttons or hotkeys to do the same things, e.g. Go FROMSEL OPENINDUAL will open the selected folder in the other side. Add NEWTAB=findexisting to open it in a new tab while avoiding duplicate tabs.
