I haven't noticed it losing sync when it shouldn't.
Please given an example that we can try to reproduce, otherwise it is difficult to guess what you might be seeing.

But I agree, that behaviour is annoying (and you're right, Opus 9 didn't do it). I've put it on my list to look at.
