Short question - is there now a way to get more then one row for tabs?

No, folder tabs are still restricted to one row.
The discussion of the idea here is still largely current (except that the idea in the thread of an overflow menu has now been implemented; I think that was in Opus 9 but maybe it's new in Opus 10, not sure):
