When I add new files to an already created password protected zip file, the subsequently added files are not password protected. Is this intended?
Yes, Zip encrypts on a per-file, not per-archive basis - you can have different passwords (including no password) for files within the same archive.
Opus doesn't actually know what password was used for the previously added files (there's no way to tell) so there is no way it could make this automatic.
