Paste files into vmware guest

I want to select multiple files from dopus and paste them into vm guest.

This doesn't seem to work.
I copy (ctrl-c) files from dopus folder then try to paste them into my vmware guest.

Versions

Directory Opus Pro 11.19 Build 6005 x64
OS 6.3 (B:9600 P:2 T:1) SP 0.0

my machine: Windows 8.1 Pro
my vmware: VMware® Workstation 12 Pro 12.0.1 build-3160714

vm guest is running an old windows 2003 R2
vmware is running on my machine with dopus.

I open the folder in Windows Explorer (from the rmb of dopus), copy files then paste them into vm successfully.

Please let me know if you want any more information or to test.

Thanks!

Does drag & drop into VMware work?

No sir.

Do you have VMWare Tools installed and/or up-to-date?

Updated link

Ooo.. Good catch. I'll check. Thanks!

Odd that this would work in Explorer without VMTools installed (if indeed that's the case).

Oh, didn't see that part. Yes, that would be odd then.

VMTools is installed.
I just didn't list it because I wasn't aware that it's maintained/updated separately from the main application versioning.

I'll be upgrading main app to 12.1.1 soon. I'll retest with that and update this thread.

FWIW

Copying from host to Windows in VM may not always work well.
Sometimes it may work, but usually you've got to try a few times before it'll work.
Then again, even that may not work.

What has been working fine with me so far is to just select the file, use the 'Copy' from the context menu
and paste to the Windows desktop (VM).

(VMware Workstation v12.5.1 and latest VMTools.)

That is true of VMware in general, even if Opus isn't on either machine.
