Path breadcrumbs option to highlight thing that is changing

I've been loving DOpus for many years now. Of all the wonders of 9, path breadcrumbs is probably the one that has most improved my workflow.

I gather this is in some way inspired by Vista. However, it feels slightly "wrong" to me.

Take for example:

My Computer > C: > Folder > Subfolder >

If I want to change folder, I hover or click on the arrow between C and Folder. Marvellous. But while I'm hovering over that, or choosing between folders, the C: is also highlighted! I'm not changing drive, so why is Folder not highlighted instead?

I can half understand that the parent is being offered as a choice alongside the children, but if I wanted the root of C:, I'd've clicked on it!

If this is how Vista does it, then I can understand why it's the default, but most of the point of DOpus is to do things in a more logical way than Windows Explorer does. I'd therefore like to be able to choose whether the parent or child gets highlighted alongside an arrow. Or indeed to choose neither - I'd be perfectly happy with just the arrow being highlighted when I hover over it.

I know I can change the spacing, and other elements, but it doesn't look like I can change this highlight behaviour. It would be lovely if I could.

You're clicking on C:'s arrow, to choose a path that is below C:, so it makes sense in some ways that C:\ is higlighted as well as its arrow (which is highlighted differently).

I've never found it confusing since if you click on C:\ itself you go to C:\ instead of getting a menu, so it's always obvious what's going on when you click on the arrow. To me anyway.

Yup, it is what Vista does.
