Hello
Place any button in dopus is not very complcated. I've got some third party portable applications installed in my dOp folder. (With its buttons on the buttonbar)
All goes well until I export dOp too a flash-drive. And here something normal happens, the buttons pointe to their absolute place c:\p_files\dopus\blablabla...
My question is : "How do I write the relative pathes for these buttons, in order to run my 'precious' applications in another computer, just by clicking onto the appropriate button and not by opening them manually?"
Thank you in advance
You can use the build-in /home folder alias to refer to the path that Opus is run from. From that you can build relative paths which will point to Program Files (on a normal install) or the USB stick (on a USB install).
e.g. "/home/../../Media Player Classic"
Thank you ver much for your response. I give it up, it's coplicated.
So the topic is closed
It's not very complicated. What are you trying to do exactly? What are the paths?
Thank you for your kindness, but I don't want use it as a portable program.
I like DO for its possibility to read RAW files (photography). Adobe Bridge is very heavy and slow...
On the other hand, DO is not a really portable application. I CAN USE it in another computer but it leaves some traces on the computer in use (registry inscriptions and some folders creation, on the hard disk I mean)
So I don't need to use this in this manner.
Anyway thank you for your help
What registry settings or folders does Opus leave behind in USB mode?
If it has to register one of its COM objects to do certain things (e.g. display a UAC prompt on Vista) then it will unregister them when you exit it. It shouldn't leave behind anything in the registry in USB mode as far as I know.
