I used to save folder formats extensively and previously had a lot of them defined, more than 100.
I began noticing that changing folders started lagging so I deleted most of them and the lag disappeared. I don't know if there is a way to optimize the code that parses them to make it faster.
I routinely want to save formats for specific folders but then I don't do it because It comes at a cost I'm not willing to pay. I even have a keyboard shortcut that I actually love: (ctrl-s) mapped to the command below so I can easily save my folder formats, sadly, I use it a lot less these days.
