I've been having a problem with Directory Opus (9.5.3.0.3728.x64). On all previous installations of Directory Opus (they were all 32 bit), when I double clicked the desktop, Directory Opus would pop up over any other windows that were open. On my latest two installations of 64bit Directory Opus, the double click pops up Directory Opus, however, it pops under any open windows that are on screen (including any sidebar gadgets on the Desktop). If I use process explorer and restart the process "dopusrt.exe" the program behaves normally again and pops up over open windows. Anyone have any idea about how to fix this?
If you disable the desktop double-click option in Prefs / Launching Opus and click Apply, dopusrt.exe should exit. If you then turn it back on and Apply again, dopusrt.exe should come back.
Does it work okay after doing that?
If it does work, what about after a reboot? Does the problem come back or is that enough to fix it?
For anyone else reading, in this case the problem seemed to go away when "Internet Download Manager from Tonec" was stopped from auto-starting at boot-up.
Not sure why it would affect Opus in this way -- and it could be an innocent bystander -- but if you run into the same problem, and have that tool installed then check if it's running at startup (using MSConfig.exe or AutoRuns and try disabling it if it is.
