I just have a quick question: Is it possible to have the thumbnail displayed for the folder to fit the aspect ratio of the folder.jpg image being used instead of filling to a 1:1 aspect ratio?

If Opus is generating the folder thumbnail itself, then it won't be distorted:
...unless it's being turned into a CD jewel case thumbnail:
On the other hand, if Opus is configured to let the Windows shell is generate folder thumbnails then what happens is entirely up to Windows, and it seems to crop the image to make it square, as well as adding a 3D perspective distortion:

Is it possible to only display the folder frame for folders that don't match the wildcard / contain a suitable image?
That idea makes sense, but I don't think it's currently possible.
