I don't know if the is possible but what I'd like to do is save multi-folder lister layouts that remember the FILTER entries when reopened.
For example a folder full of pictures that I filter JILL, another JANE on a second tab etc when saved, will not remember the filter and give the entire folder contents.
If you set the filters via Folder Options, they will be remembered by the layout (as long as the layout is set to use its Folder Options / Folder Formats, which is one of the checkboxes when saving the layout).
To get to Folder Options, click the Folder menu on the top default toolbar, then it's the first item in the menu.
Can't seem to get quite what I'm after or I'm not setting it up properly.
I have a folder that I access regularly and don't want to set permanent folder views for every time I visit it. I'd like it to display everything UNLESS I choose a specific lister that does have my preferences for filtering by name etc.
When I save a lister with filter entries and then use it, the filter settings are all blank again. I see where it says SAVE FOR THIS FOLDER etc options, but that is permanent for that folder correct?
Set things up in the Folder Options dialog, then just click OK. Don't click Save there.
Then re-save the layout (via Settings > Lister Layouts > Save This Lister).
