When a preferences page is accessed from the Starred category or searched (which filters the page list to show only matching pages), more clicks are needed if the user decides to navigate to the parent category or the higher-level page of the active page.
I propose making the top page header clickable. Clicking a parent category reveals it and expands its pages in the page list, and clicking a higher-level page navigates to it and reveals it in the page list.
