Problem with hotkey

Hi,

i want to invert hotkey "Go back" (alt+left arrow) and "go tabselect -1" (ctrl+left arrow), and "Go foward" (alt+right arrow) and "go tabselect +1" (alt+right arrow).

But there are problem with "go back" and "go foward".
if i try with alt+Left arrow and alt+Right arrow, there are no problem but with ctrl+Left arrow and ctrl+Right arrow, dual mode open !!!!

i don't understand ?? what's happen ??

Have you looked in the hotkey editor to see if there are other commands already on those keys? They should appear in red if so.

yes, there are not other hotkey with ctrl+left or right...

it's work for you ?

I added "go tabselect -1" to ctrl-left arrow and it works fine here.

What's the exact set of keys you're trying to set up?

"tabselect" command work with alt or ctrl but Go back not

"Go back" work only with alt key...
I want to control back/forward with ctrl key...

Try turning all of your toolbars ON before you look at the Keys page in Customize... THEN make sure you don't see any red conflicts for th CTRL+right/left arrow. Not sure why you wouldn't see the same problem with the tabselect command and this key combo, but maybe you do in fact have some conflict that you're just not seeing yet, and when you don't have a toolbar switched on and some of it's buttons have hotkey assignments, you do not see their key mappins on the Keys page...

don't work again...
i have activate all toolbar and i haven't conflict in the keys page... (i try this in a second computer)

WAaaouu, i test this with shift key and its the same thing !!!!

Please try...

Well, nothing for me to try really. I have been using the same key bindings you're trying to use successfully for some time now...

I've been kind of following this thread however I really cannot offer anything either. It seems obvious to me that you have a hotkey conflict somewhere AlbatorIV although I can't see one in your screen shots. I do not read French though, so I may be missing something.

Like steje and Nudel I can set my machine up the way you want to do yours, and mine works fine.

In your first post in this thread you mentioned something about the lister going to dual mode when you use the CTRL+arrow keys. If you can find the reason why that happens (a long forgotten button you once made? A custom menu command perhaps?) you may find your answer.

Well, if he exports his settings maybe we can find something in his Prefs.dpf or something somewhere else???

AlbatorIV... if you export all settings, you can then rename the .dps file to .zip and extract it. Inside, there will be a Prefs.dpf file (it's just ascii data) that you can perhaps search and locate the rouge key binding...
