When copying/moving more than one item, the elapsed/remaining time alternates automatically with the remaining data (check attached video). I find this distracting (don't remember this in v11 but I could be wrong).
Is there a way to constantly show all data (without the automatic switching) or just show the time? Thanks. Progress indicator.zip (80.9 KB)

I can see the difficulty though. Keeping the dialog the same and yet provide the information people missed in the more recent copy progress dialogs is not an easy task. Alternating the visible details is actually a nice idea but quite an unexpected solution. o)
It's not something I totally dislike, but maybe just make it stop alternating once the dialog gets resized horizontally, so if there is enough room to show everything at once, let's have it all. The progress dialog of DO9 or 10 was nearly perfect by the way, never anyone complained about the many little timers, bars and counters, right? Not sure why it was overhauled, but seems to be a pretty hot topic since then. o)
I think anything that is "flashing" can be perceived as annoying for many people. It's not exactly flashing of course, but it's not that far and grabs the attention of the eyes.
Also, imo the time info is more important to always have visible, instead of data info.
Perhaps if you trim some unnecessary spaces near the / dashes and even eliminate the "elapsed/remaining" words (info is fairly self-explanatory), you should be able to fit all info (both time and data) without the switching.
I would suggest to add another divider under the existing one and showing overall values between ("copied/total to copy" on left and "time/calculated time" on the right.
If there was space for progress bar, this small line should not be a problem nor waste of space . Also if it would be optional, all people "crying" for old copy-style would be pleased, too. Perfect.
