Question / request: suppressing wav information

Is it perhaps possible, to suppress (or erase) some informations in the description field? Most image formats & wavs contain informations, which may be redundant (they can be individually shown in Opus, if needed).

In this case i have wavs, which i added descriptions to, but they already contain stuff like "PCM Stereo, 44.1 kHz 16 Bit, 1411,20 Kb/s", which i don´t really need. Of course i could add the new descriptions, moving those wav infos out of sight, but it would be cool to have all that image/wav infos to be turned off in the first place, if possible.

Not possible at the moment (except by turning off the Description column, but then you lose your manually-added descriptions as well).

With some filetypes you can do it by disabling/configuring their related plugins but the WAV handling is all built-in.

hmm, looks like the only way to avoid this would be Opus having an own type of description field, which is unlikely, i suppose. It´s no big deal when all descriptions are changed, but in case you change only a few descriptions, let´s say 10 out of 30 files, it looks now a bit ugly.

An extra description field would be nice, which could also serve for the frequently requested "tagging" function. On the other hand the current desc field is compatible windows standard, which is an advantage.

I think some changes along those lines are being considered. Not sure when/if they'll happen but it'd make sense for sure.
