I just had a few quick questions about Quick Access that is located in the Folder Tree

Question #1
Whenever I open a new lister, the Quick access section is not open. Is there any way to have it always opened?

Is there any way to remove the main folder tree (eg. Local Disk (C:)) and just keep only the Quick Access?

Is there any way to have Quick Access to be expanded to a specific folder tree and have it stay that way permanently?

When I click Quick access and it displays in the Display, the background turns all white. It looks like the Quick access folder reverts to a Windows File Explorer folder.

What's the difference between the Favorites folder and the Quick Access folder?

  1. Expansion of the root nodes in the folder tree is saved when the lister is saved. If it isn't happening automatically after closing the window (which is optional) then you can use Settings > Set as Default Lister to save it explicitly. If you're opening a layout or style and not the default lister, you'll need to re-save whatever you're opening after the tree is set up how you want.

  3. Quick Access can only show what's directly below it, so that doesn't make sense.

  4. Display of the Quick Access folder is delegated to the Windows shell (File Explorer, more or less), since all you can do in there is double-click something to go somewhere else. We might add native support in the future, but it would be purely so you can customize the colors, so it's a lower priority.

  5. Favorites are your Opus-only bookmarks, and can be arranged into sub-folders. Quick Access is shared with File Explorer, File Open dialogs, etc.

Thanks for your quick reply! I really appreciate your fast responses while I'm learning this incredibly complicated program. It helps a lot. I know it's going to take months for me to get the hang of everything. So, I can't even imagine the amount of time you, guys must have spent, creating such a customizable system that doesn't glitch. Really great job.

Question 1. I don't know but I was saving the lister layouts afterward but it wasn't saving the folder tree's layout. I'm sure of it but maybe I was hallucinating because it's suddenly saving right now.

Question 4. When I switch from Directory Opus to a Quick Access folder or the Recycling Bin, all my colored-background folders go from colored to pure white so it's a little jarring but not a big deal.

Question 5. Got it. Not what I was looking for.
