Recovering from a crash

Not all software is a stable as Dopus :stuck_out_tongue:
Windows is one of them

I reinstalled without formatting. So the 'Programs Files' dir still contained the DOpus install.
I reinstalled Dopus and entered my registration details.
Unfortunalely my settings are lost.
Is there a way to recover my old settings?
If not is it possible to backup settings for a next crash/reinstall.

You can import/export your current settings by going to Settings->Import and Export. Just check the appropriate boxes and save to a safe location

Tnaks. I found the option

Sorry to revive this old thread, but the same thing just happened to me. Windows crashed and had to be reinstalled.

All folders are still accessible (e.g. Programs, and even the old Windows folders).

Can I recover the Opus settings somehow (I have a Opus settings backup, but it is like a week old and I have changed quite a lot in the meantime).

Thanks for help

See How to backup or locate your Opus configuration (Simple), Locating the config files by hand.

Look for the directories where DO put its configuration files. Copy these and in case you need something from there, you can copy & paste individual settings or full config files from there (/dopusdata and /dopusglobaldata). Better to exit DO before replacing full files, then relaunch.

Thank you both -- that worked.
Cheers
