Did the 12.8 upgrade a couple of days ago and now the release history popup appears every time I start DOpus after boot. Subsequent starts are fine until rebooting. Any suggestions? I'm assuming it's just a registry flag which hasn't been cleared after the first run.
Something is preventing Opus from updating /dopusdata\userdata.omd
(Type the /dopusdata
alias into the Opus path field and it will locate the folder on your system.)
That may mean the permissions on your user profile folder are messed up, which would also prevent other settings changes from being saved.
Thanks Leo. Nothing else seems to be having issues. I remember having the same problem a few versions ago, which went away in the next update.
The userdata.omd file has a date of 11 Dec 2017. Contents below.
<?xml version="1.0" ?><opus_meta_data lastfeed_high="30618548" lastfeed_low="-5973504" last_version_low="0" last_version_high="786439" config_type="private" jump_list="-65008" />
Appreciate the assistance (and love the program - always a shock when I jump onto a PC without it!)
Are you able to edit that file in notepad? e.g. Just add a blank line to the end and see if saving it changes the size and date.
Getting a sharing violation, and can't save it.
Try shift+deleting the file in Opus and it may tell you which program is locking it.
Just get the generic "is being used by another program. (32) "
Don't worry too much about it - it's only the first time after boot so not a major inconvenience. Sure you have more issues to deal with. If it helps diagnose, it's running on a Surface Pro 3, with ESET Endpoint security (current) and Hitman Pro.Alert.
