I have a big File Collection built from files that are physically on one of my external HDs. Now Im trying to move the original files to a different partition - but after this all the links get broken.
Is there a possibility of telling DOpus to somehow "remap" the collections to the new partition? The files are the same, the directory structure is the same etc so hopefully there is an easy way of doing it.
If you type /dopusdata/Collections into the location field in Opus then you'll see the files that store the collections.
They're in a text format so you can search & replace on them in a text editor if you want to change all of the paths at once. That's probably the easiest way to do it.
It's best to exit Opus, edit the file, then restart Opus to make sure the changes are seen. (I'm not 100% sure you have to do that, but for a one-off operation you might as well do it that way to be certain it won't cause any problems.)
Obviously it's a good idea to backup the old collection config files to another location first, too.
