Remember State of Preference Tree

This is only a minor annoyance but in the preferences menu, it can be a bit confusing trying to remember and workout where everything is. For instance "Folder Aliases" or "Folder Colors" isn't under the "Folders" tree it's under "Favorites & Recent".

When i expand the left menu column out like this, things are much easier to find:

If i exit "Preferences" and come back later it's all collapsed again and less intuitive:

Just wondering if anyone thinks it would be better behavior to remember the last expand/collapse state, like the folder tree when launching Opus itself?

So if you have say 3 menu items expanded, next time it will be the same. Then you can leave seldom used ones like "Photo Sharing" and "Launching Opus" closed and common ones open and easy to find/access.

Since it's very easy to find what you need using the Filter box at the bottom, there's no need to remember where anything is

Ok don't worry about it, i will manually expand them out every time.

If there's a few places in Prefs you go to frequently you can make menu items (or hotkeys etc.) to go to them directly.

See the Prefs command's PAGE argument if you want to do that.

FWIW I might be for the idea of prefs remembering what was expanded. Problem is it would clash with the way the prefs tree automatically collapses branches when you move out of them. (Branches would not stay expanded if you moved around the tree, even if it remembered which branches were open when the window was closed.)

I've never been a huge fan of the auto-collapse stuff, but other people might be, and it doesn't seem worth having an option for this. (Preferences about Preferences? Ugh, that's probably taking configurability too far even for Opus.) So I think the question is, do people like or dislike the auto-collapse thing that happens now?

Even an "Expand All" items button so you can see everything would be good, instead of it remaining how you left it.

Thanks for putting me on to the PAGE argument leo, i found PAGE/K which states "This command is a shortcut to opening the Preferences dialog to go to a specified page."

So with this i should be able to make a toolbar, leave out the ones i never use plus arrange it all (in what i believe) is a much more logical fashion.
