Renaming multiple documents at once

I want to bulk alter many files at once. I used to be able to that by highlighting the files, click on rename in the top toolbar which opened the facility to alter multiple files. For some reason, I am unable to change multiple files, only one at a time. Any ideas??

You have probably switched to Simple Rename:

I have tried both 'simple and 'main' and neither work despite it doing so early last week.
