Replacing Windows Explorer in Folder Shortcuts

I have a few shortcuts on my desktop that when clicked on, open an instance of Windows Explorer (WE) with a very specific folder in view.

How can I modify the shortcut so that Opus is used to open the folder instead of WE?

Thanks!

Turning on Explorer Replacement mode in Opus is the easiest way.

If you don't want to turn on Explorer Replacement then you can make the shortcuts run

"C:\Program Files\GPSoftware\Directory Opus\dopusrt.exe" /cmd Go "blah"

where blah is the path you want to go to.

I thought I had turned on Explorer Replacement but maybe I haven't accomplished it after all.

I was in preferences -- Misc -- Advanced --
There I set TRUE to global_explorer_replacement
Is there more to it?

After doing that, my desktop shortcuts still open in WE.
Thanks!

Try this:

Geez, I must be a bone-head.
I never saw that.

I'm still a new-bee but I'm learning ...

Thanks So Much!!

It's worth setting the global_explorer_replacement advanced option back to False, too. Best to keep that as the default unless it's needed for some reason. (It changes the registry settings Opus uses to replace Explorer. The default method works best in most cases.)

I know this particular issue has been solved via Explorer Replacement, but

"C:\Program Files\GPSoftware\Directory Opus\dopus" "blah"

seems to work too.
