Revoke License and copy over configuration from dead Laptop

Hello,

My laptop recently died, it will require soldering some replacement components so it will maybe turn on, since i would not like to risk another issue, i wouldn't be comfortable working on it anymore for my work, i bought a new laptop to replace it, and i was wondering if i can revoke its license so i can install it on new laptop, i only have access to the laptops old OS hard drive files using an external enclosure.

Is there a procedure to revoke the previous Laptops license in case they are not able to fix it?, before i format and donate it for very basic use or just use it for parts, do i need to delete some file so it doesn't attempt to reactivate if it turns on and logs into windows? like deleting some file or folders.

Was not able to make a backup before it failed, but was already able to copy everything inside "X:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\AppData\Roaming\GPSoftware\Directory Opus", do i just copy the folder into the new laptops folder after install?, what is the process to recover my settings if i only have access to these files.

Any help appreciated,
Omar.

Uninstall Opus if you can boot into Windows, otherwise just delete the files or format the drive.

I'd copy the folder first. This lets Opus sort things out during installation.

P.S.: Treat your new laptop to Opus 13. It will love you for it
