Using a SMB-capable file manager in Android also works (I use FX), you can connect to a shared folder on the Windows machine and transfer over WiFi.
You're very welcome. Like you, I prefer MTP over FTP or any WiFi solution. I've tried the FTP solution that Leo at DO is eager for us to use but, if I'm sitting at my desktop, the easiest and fastest method to get the job done is to connect the phone via USB. Period.

I am still not entirely sure what is the cause of the issue:
This, because the MTP stack seem to continue to work fine also after the windows 10 upgrade - when using Windows Explorer and also with a program called "beyond compare". So why is it that it causes a problem only in DOPUS ?
Also Leo refers to "some Samsong phones" but it seem to be a wider issue as it shows up also in my Redme 3 pro.
I will try Leo's suggestion in the future when I get to backup my win 10 system.
I share PAnger's preference for MTP rather then WiFI when I am at my desk.
This should be cleaned up.
