# Script that deletes lister layout

Is it possible to delete an existing folder layout from a script level (for example using it's name)? I could not find any Opus command to do such a thing. I found options to save the layout, load it but not to remove it.

If you mean Lister Layouts, you can delete their `.oll` files from `/dopusdata\Layouts` to delete them.

Indeed the layouts are stored there. Thank you. There is also an order.xml file. Is it safe to leave it untouched? Wouldn't it refer to non-existing layout file? Can such file removal with Directory Opus enabled disrupt it's work somehow?

You don't need to worry about `order.xml`. The item that's no longer there will be ignored when the file is read in, and will be removed automatically the next time it needs to be written out.
