Hello there! o)
Is there a way to create a menu, which items are generated by a script?
There is another file manager that can do that and I find it a useful feature. o)
At work e.g., I maintain a menu-button for me and others with two dozens of RDP-Connections. Whenever I modify this menu, people need to replace their current menu-button with that updated one, including that inconvenient procedure to enter customize, delete old menu, look on the network for the new one and drag it "in".
All the entries in the menu are different but very similar (just different ip/hostname/description etc.). Additionally, there is logic wether to open the RDP session in fullscreen or fixed width, or just copy IP-address or open an url containing the ip of the corresponding machine. All of these bits need updating in every entry whenever I add something, that I want all the menu entries to have as well.
So being able to generate a menu by script, would make my life easier as the creator and for those as well, who just make use of it.
Another usecase are demo-buttons for script-addins, as they cannot be maintained or updated automatically and they don't support translations either. So, the next button to demonstrate what SelectEx/ScriptWizard/RenameEx etc. can do, could just be filled from the addin itself and the demo-buttons would not require any additional manual action anymore.
Thanks for reading! o)
