I have been using Opus for some time but since upgrading to vista the opus file search seems to have been replaced by the explorer search facility. How do I get back to the Opus search facility?
Use Tools -> Find Panel or File -> Find... depending on whether you want the find panel or the separate find window.

I am facing the same problem.
This is nice workaround, but no solution.
I often select the "search..." option from the context menu of folders, then you could also choose between several modes for displaying the search results.
So it would be very nice if someone could tell me how to reactivate the search function built in 
Unfortunately it is impossible to edit postings...
I just found out that Ctrl-F brings up the classic DO search dialog
