Searching file containing "-CONFLICT-"

Hi,

I currently use Dopus v12.30 x64 on a Windows 10 PC.

I use the Sync app to back up my files to the cloud from different computers. From time to time, Sync creates conflicted files and adds "-CONFLICT-x" (where "x" is a number starting from 1, then 2,...) at the end of the file name; an example is: db_o2-CONFLICT-2.db

When I search for all files with "-CONFLICT-" on the quick search, Dopus returns some of the conflicted files but all of them since, by navigating my folders manually, I found conflicted files not returned in the search results. At the same time, Dopus returns many other files containing the word "conflict" but not are not conflicting files.

So, how to search for only the files containing "-CONFLICT-"?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Best,

Jean

The search field at the top right passes the query to Windows Search, where the exact rules are not well documented by Microsoft.

If you use Tools > Find Files, you can instead use Opus's own functionality, which should find all the matching files. Just enter -CONFLICT- in the name field and make sure partial match is turned on below that.

Hi Leo,

Thank you very much for your support; your solution worked well, and Dopus only returned the 31 files with "-CONFLICT-" whereas Windows returned hundreds of files having the word conflict on the file name or in its content; Windows picked up only 11!

Following your reply, I read again the help file related to the "Simple Find": https://www.gpsoft.com.au/help/opus12/index.html#!Documents/Simple_Find.htm
I now have a better understanding of how it works.

Last, is it possible to set Dopus so that clicking (could in combination with holding a given key like Ctrl...) on one of the results opens the result in a different tab rather than opening the file?

Basically, I'd like a shortcut first to lock the result tab so that it can't be modified and then right-click on a result and choose "Open Containing folder".

I appreciate any help you can provide.

Best,

Jean
