Select an entire column, but deselect everything else

Greetings.

Just an idea. Currently, you can select (highlight) an entire column by holding Ctrl and right-clicking on its header. If used when another column is highlighted, it will append the new column to the selection. Would it be possible (or if not, could you consider including that feature) to use a new combination (let's say Ctrl + Alt + right-click) so that when that combination is used on a column's header, it selects it and deselects all previously highlighted columns/cells?

Thanks.

I could see myself forgetting the key for that, if it wasn't used often. You can already deselect the other columns by clicking anywhere outside the Name column (at least if full-row selection is off), which seems just as quick to do and a lot easier to remember... But if full-row is on, I could see why you might want an alternative.
