Set color of inactive background in folder tree?

Hi again,

I love how DO allows to configure virtually everything ... I think it is the most configurable software I know, and it´s great.

I have been searching DO options for a way to configure the color of the background of an not actively selected folder in the folder tree though ... right now the contrast ist not very high in my setting and I would prefer something more obvious. It´s OK when I select it (blueish), but when moving to away from it and selecting something in the list, the color changes to this very light grey.

Here is the color I mean:

Can somebody point me to the right settings for this in the options - if is possible to define that color.
I only found a way to change the color for "unselected background" in "folder tree" options, but that changes the background of all folders, not the "selected but inactive" one shown in my example.

Thanks again and best regads - Peter

That comes from the Windows theme (visual style) and can't be changed unfortunately.

If you turn off Preferences / Display / Options / Use visual style to draw items (Vista/Win7 only, overrides selection colors) then you can change the selection color, as well as how much that color is faded out when the tree is not active.

Hi Leo,

thanks - perfect! Well kind off ... if I turn it off I need to re-adjust all the other things so they are back like the windows style, the only thing I did not like before was the faint background.

But I guess I asked for it - so I should not be complaining if I get it  ... after all that is what DO is about: Configurability!

Thanks a lot -

Peter
