Directory Opus 9: This FAQ is about a problem which only occurs in versions prior to Opus 9 (or 220.127.116.11, in fact). The registry settings mentioned below are no longer relevant to Opus 9.
Problem: "I can’t export my preferences - it simply says ‘Settings exports failed’…
Solution: It is possible that this is caused by you having previously saved your preferences to a file on a network drive (or other device) that no longer exists. By default Opus will attempt to use the most recently used path for this operation and if the path is no longer valid this can sometimes cause problems.
You can check this in the registry by browsing to the following keys:
And checking that the default values of these keys do not reference an unavailable path. If they do, simply delete the default value of these keys.
Then try the Export operation again.
Note that this problem has been fixed (theoretically) in Opus 18.104.22.168
