SFTP not working with key file that is password protected

Hello,

I am using a .ppk file generated by Putty that also is protected with a password. I set up the site for SFTP with the keyfile but I do not see a place to put in this password for the file. I paid for the Pro version with Advanced FTP options and want to know if DO supports this?

According to the F1 help/manual for the page where you specify the key file, if it requires a password you'll be prompted on connection, with the option to save the password:

FTP > FTP Address Book > Site Page:

If the key file has a passphrase you will be given prompted for the passphrase during the connection process and given the option to save it for the future.

Note that if the password is stored then anything that can read your Opus config files will be able to access it (it is not in plain text, but that won't stop someone who knows what they're doing), so it's not a lot more secure than simply not having a password on the key file for an attacker who gains access and knows where to look.

Looks like it was my bad, was using an out of date ppk file. Thanks for the tip
