Lately I switched my server to only accept sftp connections, so I've been using that feature a lot. I was very happy to see that DOpus supports sftp, however, compared -say- to Filezilla, the whole experience is much slower... I'm not talking about file transfer, but browsing and general operations... Am I the only one? Is it my idea?
I'm using both WinSCP and DOpus for sftp via ssh sites and I agree that DOpus is much slower. Eg. changing current directory takes much more time. Opening connection also seems to be about two times slower (2 secs compared to 4 seconds). And sometimes when I change current directory, I get an error saying that it couldn't read or find that directory and takes me to root dir, which is very annoying. If I get that error again, I will post it here.
Usually I'm connecting to sftp site over local network so it's not about connection problems.
Also, it's quite often that I see redundant operations; like, after already having logged in, when I try to change dirs it will ask me for my passwords (and then take ages for the dialog to go away), or, after having changed into a directory there'll be a dialog in the background saying "changing location" or something - after I have already changed.
Never seen what you described.
For me it's just slow and sometimes takes me to root directory.
Taking to root happens when navigating through file lister (folder tree is opened but I don't use it to change dir) and doesn't make DOpus open additional connection (it doesn't seem to).
SSH: Listing Directory
SSH: List complete 41 files.
SSH: Sending kadry_wszyscy.php
SSH: Done set file time.
SSH: Directory /var/www/***/protected/views/pracownik/email: no such file or directory
SSH: Directory /var/www/***/protected/views/pracownik/views: no such file or directory
SSH: Listing Directory
SSH: List complete 24 files.
This happened when I double clicked "email" folder when I was in /var/www/***/protected/views/ directory. Then it took me to root directory and I had to click "back" button.
Looks like DOpus didn't remember that I just went up from view/pracownik/ dir and thought that email was in view/pracownik/, instead of just view/.
By went up I mean:
I usually use double click on empty lister area to go up. In preferences -> file displays -> options I checked double-click on file display background run a defined uesr command "Go_Back_Up" which for me is: Go BACK UP
