Sorry if this has been rehashed but I just cannot get this working.
I would like to see the audio and video codec/format for a list of video files.
It works from explorer itself, but enabling any requisite columns in DO comes up empty.
Is there a way to attach a column to a windows explorer column?
Bonus: I would also like to have more depth in the audio section...being able to see DTS-HD, Dolby Atmos, etc. The third party "Mediainfo" pulls all this so I was wondering about some kind of link-up?
Neither of those columns exists in Explorer for me.
Do they come from 3rd party software?
If you can tell us the software they come from, we can probably provide a small add-in which makes them work in Opus as well.
A script column which parses detail from the Mediainfo tool should also be possible. Time permitting, and if you link your forum account, we may be able to write that for you.
Hmmmm...I had a look and came away with no lead as to what dropped those columns in there. You would need to tell me where into Windows it would hopefully reveal what is responsible for those properties.
Apparently mediainfo is open source and there is a .dll that can be used - perhaps this is a way that DO can get easy access to all these fields?
I think everyone would benefit from this functionality.
This is precisely what I need and asked advice on in a previous help topic so I can display the Data Rate and Bitrate in DO columns for .mkv files that aren't displaying (nor in Windows Explorer), but do show up in MediaInfo when right-clicking a media file.
Is anyone able to get this to display in DO? And/or is anyone able to write a script (if that's what's needed) to allow such info. to be displayed in DO columns? Thanks.
