Shutdown Windows PC after copy operation completes

Hello All,

I am using Directory Opus 10.0.x.x.4137 on Windows 7 32-Bit Ultimate on a Dell Optiplex 755 machine. I am enjoying the new queue feature in the copy/move operation for my unattended file manipulations, it saves a lot of time where instead I had to sit in front of the PC to let one operation complete.

I am now looking for a way to let Directory Opus shutdown the PC once all running operations (copy/move) are completed, so as to save my energy bill, instead of letting the PC run for the whole if massive copy operations are en queued.

Is there a way or plugin or command button which can make do for it. I saw an old thread here [url]Shutdown after Copy] but I cannot make much out of it. I mean how and when to run this command, can there be a button and what sequence the command has to be issued (in the regular command shell or elsewhere), before or after the copy operation.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

See the tutorials forum for guides on how to add buttons to your toolbars & menus (e.g. the Toolbars video tutorial there).

You just run that command (from the thread you linked) after starting the copy or copies going, and when they are finished Opus will shut down the computer.

Note that if you set the copy to unattended mode, the computer will shutdown at the end and lose the list of errors and you'll have no way to know which files failed except by doing the copy again or comparing the source/dest folders.
