Since 9.008 Copy/Move from Samba to Samba Server wont work

If I Copy/Move from a Samba Server to the (same) Samba-Server

copy is damm slow (2kb/s) and stopps after short time.

If I COPY/MOVE from DOPUS (SAMBA) to IEXPLORER (SAMBA) then it works.

But thats not what i want :frowning:

All was OK in V9.007

COPY/MOVE from Samba to WINXP-Pro seems also much slower than b4

COPY/MOVE from WinXP-Pro to Samba also WONT work anymore (or ist damm damm slow)

Which version of Samba is at the other end? Have you tried with other Samba servers (if possible)?

I'd be surprised if the problem is caused by 9.0.0.8 as I don't think there were any changes in this area at all.

Trying some different copy buffer sizes (it can be set via Preferences) might help.

Samba Version : 3.0.25.c
running on EISFAIR (EasyLinuxServer)

Sorry no other Samba-Server around :frowning: to test

I really dont know whats going on .. All COPY/MOVE works if I use M$-Explorer
And all worked fine until I upgrade Dpus to 9.008

Where ist the Copy-Buffer option (Puffer) gone .. cant find it in V9.008

Ok found it .. thought this value belongs to "Use Copy-Filter"

now testing different values ....

Ok Set Value to "128" (prev. was 512)

and NOW

DPUS seems faster then ever :slight_smile:

all fine .. dont know whats changes on V9.008 but now works (better) than b4 :slight_smile:

Glad it's fixed! I guess the network and/or server is quite sensitive to buffer sizes.
