Instead of specific sizes for images in DOPUS, what is the possibility of a slider?
Which images do you mean?
instead of the + and -
Using a slider
Are you talking about thumbnails?
+ and - where?
The file display? (Icons? Thumbnails?)
The standalone image viewer?
The preview pane?

At the moment the closest you can get is to set the zoom mode to fit/grow to window, and then resize the window. That lets you have the image any size you want without any big size jumps.
Some kind of slider may be something we add in the future, although not the very near future.
