Sorting arrows

Hi,

I recently found out, that besides of the normal "arrow up"/"arrow down" function i also can set "arrow right"/"arrow left" by holding down shoft key while clicking the arrows. What is it exactly what they´re doing? I couldn´t find a clue in the manual.

It lets you sort by file extension.

(It's particularly useful if you have removed the Type column.)

Yes, i saw that, but the "arrow left"? Does it simply revert the sorting order? Anyway, this is quite handy, because i in fact have the file types turned off, as in most cases it´s obvious which file type you have.

If only Opus could underlay an slightly alternating color, everytime the file type changes (only in these sorting modes), we would practically have something similar to the much requested "grouping" in Vista.

Yeah, the left and right arrows indicate sorting by extension and reverse-sorting by extension. (I'm not sure which way is which.)
