Sorting by column manually does not work

Hi all;

Great product you have here. Has been working great until last version 9.0.0.7 when I was unable to sort by columns manually. When I click on the size sort column header, it shows the arrow but does nothing. I click it again and it still does nothing. No sorting... I have attached screenshot for what that's worth...

I have DO v9.0.0.8 installed (has not fixed problem)
Calculate folder sizes on and off (tried both)
No changes to configuration since 9.0.0.6...when it worked fine.
Your help would be appreciated as I use this feature a lot.

Is Opus still calculating the sizes when you click? I don't think it will sort until it's done calculating.

Even if you've turned off automatic size calculation, the calculation will still be done because you have the Files column displayed. That column forces Opus to look inside each directory so the automatic size calculation setting is ignored.

In your screenshot there are only directories. Does sorting of files work? What about if you're in a folder which only contains files and no sub-directories?

Looking closely at your screen grab, I see that your folders are sorted alphabetically.

Try this:[ol][li] Right-click on any column header and select the Folder Options... item from the context menu. The resulting dialog will show you the current Folder Options in effect for the listed folder. The settings you see here are an amalgam of any and all Folder Formats applicable to the listed folder.
[/li]
[li] Click on the Display tab
[/li]
[li] In the Sorting Options section, inspect the Keep folders sorted alphabetically option.

If this option is enabled, it does not matter how you sort the Lister, the folders will remain sorted alphabetically. I'm betting that you have this option enabled in one of your Folder Formats.[/li][/ol]
NOTE: Any changes you make in the Folder Options dialog, will be discarded when you change folders, unless you save them to a Folder Format. See Nudel's FAQ on How to Understand and Configure Folder Formats for more information (follow the link in Nudel's signature).

Thnaks for the quick (and accurate reply) all. This fixed it. Always knew it was human error and not the prog! :blush:

Again, BEST program (can't live without it) and keep up the great work.
