Status Bar Codes: Image Width and Height

Greetings,
I hope the first week of 2013 was good to you all.
Lately I've often had to input images' width and height in a database. To seen the width and height, sometimes I hover over the file name, sometimes I activate the metadata panel.
But I wonder if there might be codes I can add to the status bar? Couldn't find them in the Prefs menu.

Thanks much,
Wishing you all a fun and fulfilling year.

There aren't, but there are columns you can add to the list.

Thanks, Jon. Adding it to the "nice to have" features then, as I don't want to mess with the default columns in my default lister.
I use the status bar all the time. For movies, I love being able to see the length of the movie in the status bar (e.g. 94 minutes). That's a really great feature.

Hey gang,
I hope that after two years this won't be considered too much of a nag, but I would still love to have a status bar code for an image file's width and height.

In the list of codes there is, after all, a category for music and video metadata. I use those, and it would be consistent to have some basic metadata codes available for image files. In my workflow I don't always want to open the metadata pane.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

I agree. It wouldn't hurt to have even more possibilities for the status bar codes.

The only music and video codes you can add are for total duration. The status bar doesn't have the concept of showing information for a particular file, it shows information for the whole folder. None of the image metadata is applicable to this. So it's not a matter of making it "consistent", it's a matter of changing how the status bar actually works.

Except for displaying the playing times of single film and music files.

No, it can display the total duration of all files, or the total duration of all selected files. Even if you only happen to have one file selected it's still a total.

Ok, that explains it. A very nice feature, by the way. I like watching it, when it counts up to several hours and even days in a really large music collection.

Ha, I hadn't realized this, thank you for explaining.

Oh well, I'll leave it on the wish list anyway. There may not be enough demand though.
Let's say you have the metadata pane open. If you scroll down a list of image files, you can see the WxH changing, but with a definite lag. In contrast, the status bar data displays instantly, so if you scroll down a list of movie files, the play time changes in the status bar right away, which I love. I guess people have wildly different workflows and layouts, I happen to rely a lot on the status bar.
