when I search for files it would be really usefull when the location of the current selected (last) file could be shown in the status bar.

You can show the location via a column in the file display (which should be on by default in collections, or can be turned on via folder formats) or via tooltips (via filetypes).
(The information shown in the status bar is usually a summary of all selected files or all files in the lister, not individual details of one file, and I'm not sure it would be that suitable for showing something like a location which might be too wide for the space, in a part of the UI which cannot be scrolled.)

many thanks again for that fast answer. Yep, the first column in my collection is the Name and the second the Location. My special problem is that I must always resize the file display so that I can see column Location completely.
But the tooltips are interesting - is there a global setting for all file types? I tried it with a single file extension, but no success.

The "all files and folders" tooltip will cover a lot of things, but if a more specific group or type overrides the tooltip then you'll need to edit it as well. Usually, you only need to edit the handful of items in the top two parts of the list, unless you've made changes yourself to specific filetypes.
