There must be a way to stop DOpus from opening a new folder tab (or even open the application if it is closed) when a drive comes on. Please tell me how to stop this annoyance.
Not sure, if you mean this, but did you check your settings under -> Options -> Folders -> Auto-Loading? Maybe you can find some option to turn that behavior off there. I can't tell you for sure, because i have version 12 here, so i can't compare, which settings are available. In version 12, you can choose between three settings, load/don't load/load on tab activation.
It sounds like you need to change your Windows AutoPlay settings. Opus doesn't do anything by itself when a drive is added, but if Windows is set to open the drive and Opus is set as Explorer replacement, then you'll get a new Lister (or tab).
