I'm very glad to finally have found a file browser for vista that's support MP3 ID3v1 comment field, althought, sorting by "Music comments" doesn't seems to work, it this something that might be fixed in later versions? Right now i'm trying 9.5.2.0
Why would you be using a version released over 6 months ago ? Where did you download it from - sounds dodgy to me ?
Before reporting "bugs" here make sure you are using the latest version otherwise you're just wasting everyone's time.
im new to windows 7 and found some forums about alternatives to their file wiever.
i uppgraded to the latest version as you can see and the error in sorting is still there,
most likely it is sorting by the comment field in ID3v2 (which is blank) and viewing the
ID3v1 tags in the collumns which is the only explenation i can think of. is there someway to fix
this in the setting or registry or maby in future releases?
I'm unable to reproduce the problem using my own MP3 files. It may be related to the files themselves (e.g. they may have strange characters, which don't get printed but do mess up the sort-order, at the start of their comments).
Best thing to do is contact GPSoftware to notify them of what you're seeing and offer to send them a zip of some the files for investigation.
thanks leo, alto it's impossible to contact them with out a "Registration Code:", even about bugs in the ir program.
how did your sorting go? correct? did you fill only the comments field in ID3v1 with different numbers?
It says right on the page, with parts highlighted in red:
"Note: for evaluation users, this must be the email address you registered with for your evaluation."
"Leave registration code field empty for evaluation users."
