Hi all,
The option for two lister panes is great and such.
However, often enough I want only an extra (2nd) tree view contorl without a second lister pane (saving space and distraction).
Plus, I would also want for the 2nd tree to work not only as a e.g. drop-target but also to be affecting my current one and only lister pane (so that its contents can be controlled by 2 tree view controls). If I click on a folder in either tree view control then its content should be listed in the one and only lister pane. Thus I think this would add another option of how to make browsing between two folder paths easier (if they are far apart in the tree structure). But its just and idea for brainstorming.
Thx for reading. Regards, S.
If your imagined second tree shows folders below a single drive, you could turn on the second file display and fake some kind of tree by switching into "flat-view grouped" and hiding all files. This would serve as drop target and folder picker quite well I guess.
Another option to quickly jump between far apart locations is having some menu buttons which make use of "Go FOLDERCONTENT", so you get a tree like menu structure allowing you to go somewhere deep without another tree.
A third option is to build a file collection, toolbar etc. containing direct links to all those folders you use very often and I guess there are a handful more options on how to keep going without actually having a real second tree, not 100% sure what you are doing though. o)
