Synchronize files with unicode in filename

Hello, I´ve choosen dopus because of the good handling of unicode. Now I have the problem that the synchronize tool does not handle files with unicode characters in the name, in this special case polish characters. How can I fix it without renaming the files.
Part 2 of the question: is it possible and recommendable to synchronize big volumes with the synchronize tool (500 GB) or is it better to use over synchronizing tools for that purpose.
Thanks for your help!

What actually goes wrong?

Please tell us how to reproduce the issue.

Also, please tell us if any non-Windows network drives are involved. (Samba and similar network drive tools for other OS often have problems with Unicode, although not always.)

The total file size is not a factor. Number of files may be.

It also depends on what you are using the tool to do. For example, if you just want to copy all new files to a backup drive then it's quicker and easier to use the Copy command, set to skip files that already exist and haven't changed and copy everything else, since then you get a button (or menu item, hotkey, etc.) which does it in one click.

Thanks for the quick anwer.
I the process of the reconstruction of my problem i noted, that the synchronize option "only compare existing files" was marked. So it compared only files which already were on the destination drive. Because I recently used another synchronize programm (Synchronizer from aborange.de) which can not handle Unicode the error lies there. It did`nt copy the files with the polish characters to the destination drive, so I thought now, that this was a problem of Dopus. Excuse me! But let me tell you: Directory Opus is the most amazing data managing programm I ever used. The handling of unicode was the major cause I had to search for a new file management programm. I had the german IDosWinPro, but the programmer said me, he would not update the program anymore, it has no unicode support. I´ve tried a lot of other programs, but the winner was and is Directory opus. Later I will place a link to GP Software on my homepage, to tell the world, how a file manager has to look like.
Please excuse my bad english!

Good to know it's working. Thanks for letting us know so we don't have to worry about it.

Your English is great, by the way; no need to apologise!
