A great addition would be adjustments to Large Icon spacing like is allowed for Thumbnails and Tiles.
HI
A great addition would be adjustments to Large Icon spacing like is allowed for Thumbnails and Tiles.
The files in my directory are too far apart vertically. If there were at least 1 pixel closer a log of space could be saved and I'd get a few more file listed. Is that the same thing you're talking about JInglee ?
You can already set the size of thumbnails, and the way things are spaced, for both Thumbnails and Tiles modes.
I don't see much/any connection between the Large Icon size and either mode, and both modes' sizes are configurable, so I think things are fine as they are.
Settings -> Preferences / Lister Display Modes is where you'll find the size and spacing options for the various modes.
Have you turned on grid lines? Or are you using an unusual font?
The icons in Details view are actually keeping the lines so far apart. Even if the font was smaller it would look the same. If I chose not to display the icons then the list of files will be the same length as in TC. But as I look just now ... even then the lines could be 1px closer.
Got ya.
I think Opus will always put a 1-pixel gap between each icon, so the icons don't touch. (Same as Explorer, if you compare to that instead of TC.)
You can turn off icons in Opus if you want tighter spacing than 17 pixels (i.e. 16 pixel icon + 1 pixel gap). Then the spacing is only determined by the font.
