I would like to have (four) buttons on my toolbar to unlock or lock (in 3 different ways) the current tab.
Thanks!
What's stopping you? What part about doing this are you not sure of?
Actually...
I looked for a default command in the Customize dialog (in 'commands' tab)
I did not find any..
So, I thought custom buttons have to be made...
Then, I created a new button and 'edit..'ed it..
There, I could not find any command to carry out the lock operation
Hence, posted the question
Did I miss anything obvious??
Perhaps. Did you know that right mouse click with the mouse pointer positioned over a tab icon brings up a tab dialog that includes a LOCK drop down with all the choices you need.

I knew that... but, I wanted "buttons"
No, I don't think you missed anything obvious (other than maybe checking the help for anything related to 'lock' or 'tab lock') ...
I was just asking to find out how much you needed help with in order to figure out how much to say... So you know how to create new buttons on the toolbar and use the commands editor - which helps .
Beyond that, what you're looking for is the Go TABLOCK command, and the subsequent options that modify the exact behavior of the lock... of which I guess you're interested in three of them. The arguments (in the help or command editor itself, once you add the Go TABLOCK base command) should be pretty self-explanatory... so give it a go and see what suits your preferences and shout back if you need any help...
That helped Thanks!
ha haa ya, you are right...
sorry about that!
