Unless I'm missing a setting that already exists...
Please consider adding a setting for width of task windows.
e.g:
I often transfer files with really long names and the default width is too small.
Dragging it be larger seems to only last for the session, not globally.
Maybe the width could be based off: the longest full file path or the dimensions of the display (screen).
More user control for this would be nice
