I have several lister layouts saved, all having multiple listers. I've noticed that each time I open a layout, the order in which the layout's listers appear on the Windows 7 taskbar seems to be random and frequently changes. (To be clear: the order changes upon each subsequent loading of the layout, NOT while they're present on the taskbar; thankfully, they're not dancing around on me right in front of my eyes.)
Since Windows 7 knows that the layouts' several taskbar buttons all belong to DOpus, it treats them as a group and I cannot manually rearrange them within the group the way you can rearrange taskbar buttons for unrelated programs by dragging them to where you want them. (Note that I do not have my taskbar properties set to combine buttons into one vertical popout; it's set to "never combine" so that the taskbar buttons all explicitly display horizontally along the taskbar, each lister's button always fully visible.)
Is there a way to tell a DOpus layout to load the listers using the same relative location of the taskbar buttons as when I saved the layout? Or is this a Windows 7 evildoing? Thanks.
On a quite related note, once a Layout is loaded and all those DOpus taskbar buttons are there on the Windows taskbar, on an ad hoc basis is there any way to manually rearrange them within the Windows taskbar group the way you can rearrange taskbar buttons for unrelated programs by dragging them to where you want them on the Windows taskbar?
That's more a Windows thing than an Opus thing, but AFAIK Windows 7 doesn't provide a way to do that.
On earlier versions of Windows you can use Taskbar Shuffle but I don't think that works with the new taskbar in Win 7 (and apart from dragging items within groups, it's pretty redundant so probably no longer developed for newer versions of Windows, but I might be wrong).
Are the windows taking a fairly long time to open and read their folders? That can make Opus stop waiting before opening the next window, losing the original order.
