Are their any plugins that actually let you 'edit' the file? Especially for Text files?
Thanks,

The Source Code Viewer plugin lets you edit files.
(It has some downsides and hasn't been updated in a while, though. It blocks viewing of Unicode files, doesn't have a 64-bit version and won't export to a USB stick. If none of those bother you then check it out as it's rather handy.)
I would "love" this also, for me this is the biggest downside to Opus. Is there any way to make a text editor the default for previewing .txt, .php, .js etc?
Kind of like this mashup i made with Notepad++ inside Opus:
I figure this is possible considering Media Player, Adobe Reader etc can run in there.
How hard would it be to make a program run in there like this does anyone know?
You can only do it with programs (or more accurately components) which are written to be embedded within other programs/windows.
Your mock-up looks a lot like the Source Code Viewer plugin, FWIW. If you're using 32-bit, give it a try.
Dang that's a shame, that would open all sorts of possibilities embedding programs. I guess if Opus done that, i could almost boot in to Opus instead of Windows.
I did try the Source Code Viewer, it was one of the very first things i installed when i got Opus because i rely so heavily on text editors, source code highlighting etc.
It kind of worked, the code highlighting worked but it seemed really buggy and limited. It didn't expand horizontally to fill the lister (stuck at roughly 400px wide) along with several other bugs/quirks. I was disabling it that much i removed it after a few days.
I might revisit it though now i'm more familiar with Dopus and see if i can "force" it to cooperate more because it has great potential.
(I'd pay a license addon in a flash for an official and supported built-in text editor & source highlighter)
From memory, if you right-click in that empty space you'll get a menu which lets you turn it off. It's actually a "tree" where information about C++ (and maybe other programming language) files will appear if you load one. When viewing a normal text file it's just a blank space which looks like a bug but isn't.

Hmm no good, i can't even get as far as last time and i seem to be wrecking Opus more than enhancing it. The special SciTE with extensions on this page no longer exist (404) same with the older 1.75 version so not sure if the project is dead.
So i've rolled back and removed everything, i'll just have to launch HTML, CSS, PHP, JS etc files with Notepad++ if i want to preview them.
